Unidentified gunmen kill two Syrian soldiers in northern Syria

(MENAFN) Two Syrian soldiers were killed on Sunday by unidentified gunmen in northern Syria, authorities reported.

The attack occurred near the city of Al-Bab, east of Aleppo, according to a statement from the Defense Ministry’s Media and Communications Directorate. An investigation has been launched to determine those responsible.

Since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in December 2024, after nearly 25 years in power, the Syrian government has intensified efforts to restore security across the country.
